There are literally thousands of books that will end up overwhelming you and quite possibly confuse you. To avoid stressing out over information overload, just pick with a few books to just gain a sense of things and no need to memorize everything!

Here are the ones I have read and the ones I have read and highly recommend.

Baby 411
*Recommended*: Skim through this before the baby arrives, don't need to read every page front to back.
Use this as "trouble shooting" book so you can look up the problem/question and get the answer after the baby is born.

This is such a FUN read! Take a break from the serious books, this book is hilarious - A short and fast read.

There is also a DVD you should watch: Happiest Baby on the Block (Harvey Karp)
It will educate the 5S's on how to soothe and calm a baby, which includes swaddling. Trust me, if you have a baby that cries, you'll want to be armed with this information! You can order this video on Netflix.
